Pickup ConsultancyDESCRIPTION: Does the Nissan Titan successfully go head-to-head with the best 1/2 Ton Pickups from Detroit? What about the Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon? Are they compacts, or mid-size? Have buyers embraced I4 and I5 engine availability (no matter how efficient), or do they really prefer 6- and 8-cylinder engines in their Compact/Mid-Size Pickups? How good are the new Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier? Can Ford carry over the segment sales leading Ranger forever and ever - and expect to sell them? Why are some SUTs selling well while others languish on dealer's lots? What can be expected of the 2006 Honda Ridgeline and the next generation Toyota Tundra? These are some of the issues to be addressed in AutoPacific's Pickup Consultancy. The breadth and diversity of the Pickup category requires three unique analyses to be completed. Full-Size Pickups are dramatically different in usage and source of sales from Compact and Mid-Size Pickups. Heavy-Duty Pickups are another story altogether.
